Alexandra pushed the JLS boys aside to be crowned the winner of 2008's X Factor, giving mentor and fellow Summertime Ball artist, Cheryl Cole her first victory over the show's other judges.

In 2009 she released her debut album, 'Overcome' which stormed straight to the top of the album chart. Her first single to be taken from the album, 'Bad Boys' was a Big Top 40 No. 1 as picked up a nomination for Best British single at this year's BRIT Awards
